About the Item
Swedish interior decorator and furniture designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919-2009) is best remembered for his softly glowing, glare-free lighting fixtures, which were inspired by the "organic modern" approaches of Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen and Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Paavo Tynell.
This rare original 1960s pendant by Jakobsson is an historical example of this with its elegant organic curves, rytmik perforated light passages and an overall strong design intention. Beautiful patinated brass surface with rich golden appearance also when the light is turned on.
In good vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use.
