19th Century Biedermeier Basket Chandelier

About the Item

Monumental antique basket chandelier Biedermeier style, circa 1890-1900 Finely chiseled bronze. Basket-shaped body made of hand-wired bead cords. In the course of leaf rosette and final pine knob. Connected by broad, ornamental and perforated hoop. The lustre ring is decorated with neoclassical ornaments. Inside 9x27 version, electrified. The entire chandelier is made in very elaborate handwork. The finely ground crystals, break and reflect the light through the hundreds of facets. Opened and chiseled canopy crowning. (F-17).
