20th Century Czech Brass Chandelier
About the Item
Bright and elegant, this vintage chandelier combines a baroque silhouette with the simplicity of Czech Mid Century design. Made in Czechia in the 20th century, frosted glass orbs form a crown of light around a wheel of brass, criss-crossed with radiant spokes. The elaborate composition of columns, fonts and scrolls is reflected repeatedly in the polished surface of the metal; though the design is ornate, the streamlined finish gives the chandelier a clean, contemporary aesthetic. The semi-opaque surface of the frosted glass provides a diffuse illumination, bringing a soft warmth to the room.
