3-Light Gilt Metal Italian Leaf Chandelier Kögl Maison Jansen Bagues Style 1950s
About the Item
A florentine gilt metal “Coco Chanel” style sheaf of wheat 3-light chandelier which is made in Italy around 1950-60. Coco Chanel had used this sheaf of wheat type as a sculptural side table in her elegant apartment Rue Cambon in Paris. This chain hanging and length adjustable fixture with floral bobeches and lovely foliate scroll accents takes three E14 standard screw bulbs to illuminate. The wiring is perfect so the chandelier is fine working and ready to use. It stays in very good original vintage condition with minor characteristic wear consistent with age and use. This is number one of a near pair of the same model. The second one which is offered in a parallel listing is a slight touch brighter in appearance, which is barely noticeable, see detailed pictures. Each one has a total height of 60 cm / 23.62 inches and a width of 35 cm / 13.78 inches. This beautiful and elegant pair of chandeliers is an eyecatcher and a rarity. It would be a perfect addition and upgrade for any Mid-Century Modern or stylish and chic interior.
