Antique Art Deco Slip Shade “Soleure” Chandeliers - a Pair

About the Item

A pair of stunning antique Art Deco five-light slip shade chandeliers dating from the 1930’s, and made by Midwest Manufacturing Company. The chandeliers begin with a decorative canopy, coming down in chain to meet the fixture’s oversized angular finial accented by geometric details. The chandelier body below is ornamented with a coordinating geometric design featuring stylized ziggurats and volutes; five brown-tipped or “Soleure” series slip shades are interspersed between each panel.

Condition:

Rewired: Both should probably be rewired. But one has been rewired previously. Wear consistent with age and use. One of the chandeliers has been previously rewired and the other has not (please see pictures). The one that has not been rewired is also missing some of the plated bronze on the bottom of the chandelier. The one on the right is in excellent antiqu.
