About the Item

Large size and great looking, open design, hexagonal hallway lantern. This rare and stylish Arts and Crafts lantern is all handcrafted in the earliest years of the 1900s. What makes this sizable antique extra special is the open design with the six stylized, diamond shaped and perfectly beveled glass panels. The outside is a hexagonal design, but the 'base' and 'top' of this pendant are open and decorated with flowing bronze elements that take this wonderful work of lighting art to the next level. This classy and timeless pendant with its marvelous patina can be used and enjoyed in all sorts of rooms and interiors, but to us this is the ideal entry hall or landing or stairwell pendant. This stunning example of early 1900s workmanship comes with the original chain and a perfect replacement brass canopy. Apart from some superficial scratches to some of the beveled glass panels, this antique and rare lantern could hardly be in better condition. The perfect brass canopy with the metal hook inside is adjustable in height which makes it very easy to mount this lantern tight to your ceiling. It is also rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and it will easily take a bulb of 120 watts. For our photos we have used different types of bulbs (60 watts ones) so that you can see there are many possibilities and you can always create the perfect light. No matter where you decide to mount her, this wonderful lantern will bring the kind of class and good style that only a very few light fixtures can. They certainly don't make 'em like this anymore and that is exactly why we love finding and offering antiques like this.
