Antique Continental Wrought Iron Chandelier
About the Item
This circular wrought iron chandelier is formed structurally by two round twisted parallel bands connected by scrolling bars and support the eight candle sockets. The whole is ornamented with hand-formed leaves. The leaves, rosettes and pendent naturalistic ornament are all carefully formed by an expert metalworker.
This chandelier retains its original leafy canopy and the three flat linked suspension chains. It is of uncertain origin. It would look well in a Spanish, Italian or French themed setting or indeed anywhere in Latin America.
