A 12" 'Reflector-Refractor' pendant light made in England by Holophane. c.1920. Two-part prismatic glass reflector with slight violet tint supported by original brass gallery bearing the Holophane stamp. All glass parts also stamped Holophane. Rewired with 1m black twisted flex. About the maker Holophane was founded in 1896 by businessman Otis Mygatt who set up companies in both America and the UK for the production and sale of their ingeniously designed prismatic lenses and reflectors.
