Art Deco Schoolhouse circa 1932

About the Item

Great looking schoolhouse style globe from the early 30s. Fired on black art deco designs are still in very good shape with no noticeable paint loss or fading. Notice how the the design wraps down around the bottom of each step. Stylized corn sprouts against the rising sun symbolizes the hope and rebirth after the Great Depression (or after the the current pandemic?). Milk glass globe in excellent condition with no cracks and no noticeable chips. Shown on a new nickel plated fitter. Rewired to UL standards including code required ground wire. Good sized globe at 12 inches wide and 9 1/2 inches high. Overall drop as shown: 21 1/2 inches 100 watt max.
