An ART NOUVEAU Chandelier CEILING FIXTURE by HECTOR GUIMARD, France 1900-1960
About the Item
A spectacular and elegant chandelier made of glass tassels by Hector Guimard, France 1900. Art-Nouveau, Art-Déco, Néo-Classique, Shabby-Chic; structure or crown in golden bronze, fluid lines and motifs, tassels forming rods and glass perles enhanced with 3 amber glasses surrounded by motifs in bronze. This piece seems to be a late possibly post-war edition; authentic and ancient piece, edited certainly in 1950-60, coming from an old mansion in Val de Loire, France. A number of serie is stamped in bronze inside the crown (see the pictures). Bought in a very poor condition, with 2 identical chandeliers, it has been restored by a craftsman who mounted it piece by piece, without using contemporary elements. One more piece, in rough vintage condition, is potentially available in addition to this superb quality piece!
