Beautiful color and practical size Italian fixture with mouth blown glass in a wrought iron frame. If you are looking for a rare and truly stylish Murano light fixture to grace your home then this handcrafted and semi-antique specimen could be flying your way soon. Well, this here Venetian, work of art glass light fixture most definitely fit that bill. For us to have been given the opportunity to purchase this Italian rarity again felt like a blessing. Also, because when we first saw this awesome design and color pendant we immediately new that it would soon be gracing the entrance hall or bedroom of one of our clients. This particular specimen has a very rare, blueish green glass shade which makes it a real stunner to own, use and to look at. Both with the light switched on and off this mouth blown work of lighting art has a unique presence that will never fail to impress. However, what makes this one of a kind light even more spectacular (in our view) is the hand-forged and blackened wrought iron frame. Most Venetian pendants have an iron frame that consists of black metal 'wires'. Those are pretty too, but this designer and maker have raised the bar, because creating a wrought iron frame as elaborate as this one takes much more skill and a whole lot more time to create. And we are not talking hours, because hand-creating a wrought iron frame this perfectly symmetrical will take days. By the way, have you also noticed how the glass artist has also managed to blow this beautifully colored glass perfectly even through the wrought iron frame? We have often wondered, how many times they would need (on average) to get it as good as this. With the light switched on this wonderful pendant radiates a beautiful warm light creating just the right atmosphere, no matter where you decide to use this work of beauty.
