Beligan 19th c. Louis XVI St. Crystal Plafonnier Chandelier
About the Item
A unique and exquisitely detailed Beligan 19th century Louis XVI st. Crystal plafonnier chandelier, signed Val St. Lambert. The stunning Montgolfière three light plafonnier is centered at the bottom by a most decorative cut Crystal finial. The Montgolfière (hot air balloon) shaped body displays octagonal cut Crystals increasing in size leading up to an umbrella shaped Crystal dome. The dome leads to the tapered and cut top crown. The circular fluted tapered top crown has a dentil cut band with a pierced rim above.
Val Saint Lambert (1826 - Present) based in Seraing, has been creating a rich heritage, manufacturing Belgian crystal of unrivalled quality. They hold a royal warrant from King Albert II of Belgium. They continue to manufacture high-quality crystal pieces to this day.
