About the Item
Very elegant glass plate light produced by Napako Company in Czechoslovakia in 1960s. The light is very typical for the midcentury design era, also known as Brussels era in Czechoslovakian design. This is the era of EXPO a design exhibition held in Brussels in 1958 where Czechoslovakia was awarded a gold medal in design. These plate lights were a part of the Czechoslovakian collection at the exhibition. This ceiling light holds a glass plate decorated in gray and yellow stripes. Excellent condition of the plate and glass, some wear visible on the metal construction. Beautiful and very elegant item.
