Capodimonte porcelain got its name from the palace complex on one of the Neapolitan hills, where in 1743 King Charles III of Bourbon and his wife Maria Amalia of Saxony founded the eponymous factory. They decided to create a worthy competitor to the eminent German manufactory in Meissen.
Capodimonte porcelain differed from German and Chinese analogues in the finest modeling and an abundance of skillfully made details, as well as a special warm-milky shade.
Capodimonte porcelain is the finest and most perfect grade of Italian artistic pottery and one of the most appreciated handicrafts for its craftsmanship and detailed qualities.
The model is designed to use 6 lamps with a cap E14.
