Classical and Modern Cast Glass Conical Pendant Light
About the Item
Classic meets modern with this pendant. White cast glass shade with classical ocean wave pattern. Suspended from a brass bead chain, with a solid unlacquered brass fixture. Glass is in very good condition, with some small non structural chips, and some light marking from the original mold. This type of fixtures give off a soft light, as all light is either indirect, bouncing off the ceiling, or diffusing through the glass shade without any harsh glare. They were commonly used in commercial buildings in the forties and fifties, and repurposed, are an excellent choice for retro/modern and transitional style homes. Length is adjustable from 12 to 16".
American, 1940’s. Vintage Glass, New fixture, complete and ready for installation, US 120V. Hardwired. Glass alone is 7" tall.
