VALENTINA GIOVANDO is an Italian artist, lives and works in the small cozy town of Sarzana, Liguria, and for over 20 years has dedicated herself to the production of a new style, personal and full of splendour, declined in the interior decoration through a range of high-craft artistic products. Pieces of furniture, furnishing accessories, chandeliers and lamps, but above all suggestions, atmospheres, craftsmanship and Italian refinement. Behind each creation by Valentina Giovando there is a unique world, a lifestyle, a research that goes through the history of design, interior decoration, fashion and the history of art and literature; a research that translates into furniture, chandeliers and design works. The influences are a lot: a sophisticated Parisian interior from the 1700s, the sinuous figures of an art nouveau window, the refined stage clothes of an actress of the 1800s, a medieval or samurai suit. Precious fabrics combined with metal sheet, fiberglass, brass, iron, crystals and sequins. Everything is shaped, overlapped and nailed down to create unique and original motives and effects. Every single chain, every flower, every decorative motive is entirely hand-crafted and hand-assembled. A top quality craftsmanship as in the best “made in Italy” tradition.
