Extremely Large Brass Sputnik Chandelier Designed in the Czech Republic 1960s.
This is an extremely large brass sputnik chandelier from the Czech Republic, designed by René Roubícek around 1960. It has a striking sculptural form resembling a flash, and the design is based on dynamic abstraction. The glass spikes reflect and absorb light, creating a unique atmosphere in any space. The chandelier is in excellent condition, re-wired, ready to use with E14 sockets that work with US/UK/ASIA standards and are also LED compatible. The frame is sturdy, and the chandelier can be disassembled and the glasses wrapped for easy transport. The rod can be adjusted to alter the height required. This chandelier features original old glass from the 1960s, and the frame is a high-quality brass copy of the original. René Roubícek is a Czech glass-working icon known for his spatial and dimensional abstract compositions that combine metal and glass. His work has been exhibited in prominent galleries worldwide.
