French 19th Century Louis XIV Style Ormolu, Crystal and Glass Royal Chandelier
About the Item
A sensational French 19th century Louis XIV st. ormolu, crystal and beaded glass eight arm fourteen light chandelier after a royal model. The chandelier is centered by a beautiful solid cut crystal ball pendant amidst lovely cut crystal pendants. The striking scrolled cage leads to elegant arms with ormolu foliate candle cups, fine crystal pendants and superb crystal fleurs de lys reserves. Leading upwards are impressive and most decorative beaded cut glass garlands below beautiful and unique pendants. At the center are six light bulbs which illuminate the crystals providing a stunning warm glow. Above is the top crown in the shape of a remarkable royal crown with powerful fleurs de lys and elegant beaded cut glass accents.
