French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Ormolu, Wedgwood & Baccarat Crystal Chandelier
About the Item
A stunning and extremely unique French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu, Wedgwood and Baccarat crystal chandelier. The three arm four light chandelier is centered by a beautiful richly chased berried finial below fine palmettes and the exceptional fluted reeded Baccarat crystal dome. The dome houses one light emitting a beautiful most decorative glow and is encased by lovely finely detailed swaging blooming flower garlands tied with ribbons and superb beautiful maiden heads from where the elegantly scrolled arms branch out. Each arm is adorned with Rinceau shaped scrolls and fine acanthus leaves leading to floral bobeches and elegant candle cups. At the center is an exquisite brule parfum like reserve with a pierced lattice design and eternal flame finial centered by stunning fitted circular Wedgwood porcelain reserves. Three beautiful supports with twisted fluted designs and foliate acanthus leaf reserves lead upwards to the unique and most decorative top crown with a fine draped fabric and tassel design.
