About the Item
A Muller Freres Chandelier frosted glass ceiling lamp with three tulips and
metal structure.
‘Muller Freres Luneville’ signed.
Muller Frères were French glassmakers located in Lunéville, France. They became famous for producing Art Nouveau glassware, such as vases and lampshades. The Muller family originally came from Alsace. Some family members worked together with Émile Gallé before starting their own business - which would hold a grudge against Muller for setting up a rival company. In 1910, the company began to manufacture lamps in partnership with Chapelle and, at its peak, employed around 300 workers. Production stopped in 1933 and the factory closed three years later, a victim of the Great Depression.
The chandelier is currently wired for both European Union and US standards LED lights. The LED lamp bulbs you see in the picture are Europe voltage but any LED american bulbs can be placed by the client without further adaptation - It is Led compatible.
