French Tiered-Ring Gilt Iron Chandelier, Fleur di Lys Motif
About the Item
A French double-ringed gold-tone iron chandelier with four lights and Fleur di Lis motif from the mid-20th century. This mid-20th century chandelier from France features a double ringed central gallery, with the larger lower ring supporting four torch-style iron bobèches with painted candle sleeves at their top centers and petite finial iron balls at their bottoms. The outer ring connects to the slightly smaller and higher inner ring with Fleur di Lis stylized iron plates. The inner ring is suspended from the upper canopy by four oblong and rigid metal chains. This chandelier is an overall bronze-gold color over black, with a nicely aged patina. This French two-tiered chandelier has been rewired for the US and comes with a complimentary 3-foot chain and canopy painted to match.
