French Turn of the Century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and Crystal chandelier
About the Item
A stunning and high quality French Turn of the Century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and Crystal chandelier. This elegant eight light eight arm chandelier is centered by a bottom Ormolu finial with Crystal spheres and rosettes hanging below. The Crystal encased central fut leads upward towards a beaded edge Ormolu plate which houses the eight 'S' scrolled Ormolu arms. Each arm is adorned by Crystal rosette pendants with Crystal spheres hanging below. At the end of each arm are round beaded edge Ormolu candle cups that are below circular glass saucers holding each candle. The candle cups are fitted with Crystal spheres and rosettes throughout. Connecting each of the eight arms are swaging Crystal garlands. Extending from each arm are additional swaging Crystal garlands that lead up to the the base of a beautiful Ormolu and Crystal spray. Above is another stunning Ormolu and Crystal spray which serves as the top crown of this wonderful chandelier.
