Handmade Glorious Antique Stained & Chunky Glass Arts & Crafts Pendant Light

About the Item

Very cool, inlaid 'chunky glass' light fixture from the early 1900s. This great looking and intricate workmanship pendant from the earliest years of the 20th century is another one of our recent great finds. With early 20th century lighting being one of our specialities we are always looking to find unique fixtures that we have never seen before. This stylish specimen from circa 1910 perfectly fits that bill. What makes this hand-crafted light fixture extra special are ofcourse the inlaid and large chunks of transparent glass combined with the smaller stained glass chunks in a variety of colors. On top of that this unique pendant also has an (almost) upper rim with alternating green glass and ice floe-like pieces of glass. The beautiful green glass has striking stylized flower patterns (representing the land) and the unique ice floe chunks have an amazing blue irridescence (representing the see). Both with the light switched on and off, all these uniquely shaped pieces of glass inside the folded metal make this pendant a work of art on your ceiling. We think it will look great in the living room of a small apartment or in a hallway, but also on a landing or in a bedroom. No matter where you decide to use it, this superb quality crafted and excellent condition light brings class and style in your home like no modern light fixture ever could. Mind you, this rare pendant is rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and it will easily take a bulb of up to 100 watts. The stylish, blackened brass canopy too is great looking and in mint condition and it will easily cover any regular size junction box. Finally, thanks to the metal hook inside this height adjustable canopy, safely mounting this rare light tight to your ceiling will take no more than a few minutes. We have said it before and we will say it again here, but this superb condition pendant too is even better looking in real life than in any of our photos. You can, again, take our word for it.
