Italian Design Brass and Glass Chandelier, 1960 circa
About the Item
Light and delicate, this mid-century chandelier seems to use the curved screens of frosted crystal as propellers to hang in the air and provide light to the room without apparently being connected to anything. The interplay of direct and intermediate light from the glass reveals a decorative work on the brass structure that is more refined than it appears at first glance: next to the curved arms, the glass is set in two brass tongues that give solidity without compromising the lightness of the figure and are held by thin rods that do not alter the natural flow of light. A decorative piece with a certain impact and a flavour of another era.
