Italian Early 19th Century Tuscan Giltwood Chandelier
About the Item
A sensational and unique Italian early 19th century Tuscan giltwood chandelier. The chandelier's fifteen arms are divided among five groups of three electrified candles and split between two tiers. Each arm has a branch like design which leads to a circular pierced saucer below the candle cup. The saucers have elongated crystal prisms while at the center of the arms are additional kite shaped crystals. The central fut has wonderful 'S' scrolls at two different levels. Above is the top crown decorated by acanthus leaf designs and additional hanging crystals. Fine quality throughout.
