About the Item

20th century Italian Venetian Art Deco four-light chandelier, a timeless Murano clear blown glass dating back to 1940s with four lights E14 contained within four large glass bowls, four upwards corollas. This antique hand-made chandelier realized in Murano comes from a private Milanese residence. In the 1940s begins to spread artworks made from hot glass creating twisted elements, with inclusion of bubbles, a particular decorative effect used in thick glass and consisting of a myriad of small bubbles, distributed in layers within the thickness of the glass. Twisted arms show brass elements with a polished finish. New Italian standard wiring, cleaned and polished in the brass elements, then treated with a clear protective varnish to prevent them from oxidizing ( zapon); One upper pastoral was missing and we got it made in a Venetian glass furnace. The chandelier has a circular shape, a very modern design suitable for lighting a living room or a dining room of any interior. For shipping must be disassembled with assembling instructions. Packing in a wooden crate is compulsory. Measures: Height: 108 cm Diameter: 96 cm Chandelier weight: 15 kg. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago requires a governative license for export called Belle Arti. The shipping may require additional 2-3 handling weeks to require and get the license according to the final destination of the artwork.

Rewired: Rewired for European standards- 4 Edison 14 light bulbs. Replacements made: One upper small curl was missing and has been replaced, realized by sample in a traditional Venetian furnace. Wear consistent with age and use.
