Impressive all handcrafted Renaissance Revival hall lantern. If you are a collector of unique antiques and/or if you are looking for a statement-piece-light-fixture for your entrance then this large and top quality crafted hallway pendant could be flying your way soon. With antique light fixtures as one of our specialities, we were again thrilled to find a rare antique bronze lantern of a size and beauty that we had never seen before. The natural wear has only made this antique lantern more beautiful and its authentic, Renaissance look and feel will never fail to impress. The heavy bronze frame and chain have grown a patina that is second to none, but what makes this large pendant even more impressive are the four original, mouthblown glass panels. They are satinated on the inside and smooth (like normal glass on the outside). However, unlike normal glass panels these mouthblown ones are shaped to perfectly fit the wavy design of the sides of this remarkable pendant. This means that these handcrafted glass panels have a curved design (as shown in image 17). Finding unique and all hand-crafted fixtures of this age, size and workmanship is getting ever more difficult and to have found one with four angel sculptures AND in this amazing condition again felt like a blessing. It may have originally hung above the main entrance of a Renaissance Style mansion in France, England or Italy. We are not sure. We are sure that, when hanging in the right space, it will make you feel like stepping right back into the life and time of, for example, Leonardo da Vinci. Both with the light switched on and off this pendant is unlike anything you will have ever seen. This unique fixture is rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and our fair price even includes perfect packing (in a custom made box) and also worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days.
