About the Item
Large chandelier, patinated brass, glass, Europe, 1940s
This highly elegant chandelier is very impressive in its size and execution. Made in Europe in the 1940s, this chandelier shows traits and detailing of the late Art Deco period. The structure of this light is build from several elements, the canopy and chains flow from the ceiling to the main ring where the glass shades are placed on. Stylized and decorative leaf shaped elements and regular supportive arms are the connection between the large outer ring and smaller inner ring. The patinated state of this chandelier adds to the beauty and interestingness of this very large and atmospheric piece of lighting.
Please note that this item is in good, used condition. It needs to be rewired before use. This can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece contains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized rewiring is possible as well. The glass shades are all in good condition.
