Large German Palwa Cascading Chandelier Gilt Brass Faceted Crystal Glass, 1960s
About the Item
Classic large and precious gilt brass and crystal glass chandelier made by high class lighting company Palwa, Germany, circa 1960. The chain-hanging chandelier has 5 cascading tiers with lots of high lead hand-cut faceted crystal glass strings which sparkle like diamonds. This beauty takes seven E14 standard screw bulbs to illuminate. New rewired so fine working and ready to use. The total length is 88 cm / 34.65 inches and it has a width is 50 cm / 19.69 inches. Professionally cleaned this chandelier stays in a very good original vintage condition, minor wear consistent with age and use. It presents beautifully. Typical for first class Palwa lighting which is comparable to Bakalowits and Lobmeyr, this chandelier is made with best materials and is of very high quality. This gorgeous sparkling beauty is an eye-catcher. It would be a perfect addition and upgrade for any Mid-Century Modern or noble stylish interior. When illuminated or unlit, it fills any room with noble elegance.
