Mid Century Modern Five Arm Brass & Smoked Textured Murano Glass Chandelier
About the Item
This stunning Mid Century Modern chandelier was realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production, circa 1960. It features a brass hourglass form body that connects to domed domed base with a matching hourglass finial in brass with five undulating arms that connect to smoked glass shades with a subtle dappled texture that flare at their midsection then taper to circular mouths. Additionally, there are bobeches with hourglass finials (also in brass) below each of the textured smoked glass shades. The chandelier has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. It accommodates five candelabra based bulbs offering up to 200 watts of light.
