About the Item
Wonderful midcentury and fabulous of vintage “diabolo“ pendant lamp designed by Carl Moor in 1951 attribution and executed by BAG Turgi, Switzerland, see literature Koch, “Neuzeitliche Leuchten“, page 51. The quality and style is comparable to the famous Italian companies Stilnovo, Arteluce and Arredoluce. The height adjustable lamp which is made of aluminum and brass has two conical berry-red color enameled shades with a 3 cm / 1.18 inches wide center patinated brass ring. Inside the shades are white to off-white, partly spotty. After years the lamp stays in very good original vintage condition with typical characteristic few signs ( minor bruises ) and wear consistent with age and use. It takes one E14 standard screw bulb to illuminate. Wiring is good so the lamp is fine working and ready to use. The body of the pendant is 40 cm / 15.72 inches tall, has a upper width of 15 cm / 5.91 inches, a lower width of 22 cm / 8.66 inches with a variable drop of 100 cm / 39.37 inches. The gorgeous lamp which is an authentic piece of midcentury design would perfectly fit in a Ponti, Juhl, Eames or modern design interior.
