Designed by William Brand, this Kelp modern chandelier in a conical shape and in a black matt finish is bent by skilled craftsmen in graceful curls and shapes in the atelier of Brand van Egmond. The playful and organic form of the Kelp offers endless possibilities in creating different sculptural volumes and shapes. The Kelp modern chandelier can be ordered in a round, oval, and conical chandelier. Each model offers different dimensions.
Frivolous and light-hearted, spirited and energetic; the arched and curved Kelp dances through the air. The light sparkles warmly as in a crackling open fire, bringing an exhilarating sense to any space.
As nature comes in many forms, the Kelp can be ordered in different shapes and sizes. The possibilities are endless. The Kelp is available in three modern chandeliers, pendants, and flush mounts. Use the Kelp Pendants in any variety you like, as a single object or a dancing composition by entwining various objects together.
The finishes are in black matt, stainless steel, brass, brass aged, brass grinded, brass burnished, and copper. There is the additional option possibility to order the finish of the light globes different from the rest of the Kelp, allowing for a cheerful and personal finishing touch.
Upon receiving your confirmation, our atelier will start with the creation by hand of your ordered lighting sculpture. After your confirmation, we can no longer change the specifications of your order.

Brand Van Egmond
Brand van Egmond was founded by William Brand in 1989. After graduating from the School of Arts he sought absolute freedom to create without restraints. The atelier, located just outside Amsterdam, is well known for its artistic and sculptural approach to lighting. Every year new collections of lighting sculptures are born, adding character to some of the most beautiful spaces across the globe. Combining infinite patience with love for handwork, Brand van Egmond pays homage to the time-honored tradition of craftsmanship. Created to last for generations, its quality protects it from the passage of time. Their clientele is as eclectic as their collections: ranging from Royals to Rappers. Furthermore, there is the possibility to have any personal wish translated into handcrafted reality: a tailor-made light created for you. FOUNDER, ARCHITECT AND ARTIST WILLIAM BRAND
Having studied architecture at the School of Arts, William for several years created buildings and interiors for leading fashion brands. His interior designs are always minimalistic, in contrast to his lighting which has a powerful sculptural presence. He considers his lights the focal point of a space: adding emotion and character. Besides creating the regular collections, William is at times commissioned to create a unique lighting installation. His work has been on display at art museums in the USA (SCAD), Turkey (Museum of Modern Art) and during several editions of the world’s leading art fair Tefaf.
