Murano Pendant Lamp Woman's Wide-brim-hat, Italy, 1970s
About the Item
Fantastic large Murano glass lamp in the shape of a woman's wide-brim-hat. Made in Italy in the 1970s. The beige murano glass shade with a "Pulegoso" treatment that adds precious texture. The "pulegoso" glass is made using a method that was often used in the 1920s, with the addition of gasoline to thereby cause the glass to boil in a melt. Countless tiny air bubbles of irregular shape inside the glass mass deliberately limit its transparency. It will undoubtedly decorate your home and will delight you for a very long time. Despite the weight and size of the chandelier, it looks very light and elegant. Excellent vintage condition. E27 bulb required. Suitable for 220 and 110 voltages. Maximum height with cable 55 cm. The chandelier weight 6.5 kg.
