Stunning French Art Deco blossom chandelier signed Noverdy, France depose, in salmon or peach-tinted art glass. Its distinctive design comprises five large "V" shaped panels, each depicting a stylized palm or forest motif, creating a natural and visually captivating setting. The chandelier is elegantly mounted in its original antique polished nickel bronze armature, showcasing a harmonious blend of artistic craftsmanship and functional design. Art Deco, popular during the 1920s and 1930s, was known for its geometric shapes, bold colors, and intricate designs. The fixture holds both aesthetic and historical value, reflecting the design trends and craftsmanship of the Art Deco era in France. JEAN NOVERDY- During the early years of the Twentieth Century Jean Noverdy studied and worked at the Muller Frerès factory at Luneville, France. In 1925, Jean and his father René Drouhot acquired Verrerie des Vosges, a glass factory, and later expanded their enterprise by acquiring another glass factory and establishing their own glass studio in Dijon. The glass produced bore the signature "Noverdy" for Nouvelle Verrerie de Dijon. Noverdy produced at the same time as Daum, Schneider and Degué, and the quality and design of his art glass have made his name world-renowned. Pantone colors: Living coral, rose quartz, copper, tangerine, autumn maple, cognac, honey, flame, floral. Rewired: Holds one Edison socket which can hold either an LED or an incandescent bulb. Good condition with tiny imperfections. Ground edges of the glass panels removed parts of the signature. Wear consistent with age and use. Edges of the glass panels that fit under the metal frame and do not show, were ground and a few have small chips from removing and replacing the panels in and out of the metal frame throughout the years.
