Pair of French Early 19th Century St. Rock Crystal and Glass Chandeliers
About the Item
A charming and most decorative pair of French early 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu, rock crystal, and colored glass chandeliers. Each four arm chandelier is centered by a beautiful solid crystal ball with charming floral crystals and amethyst colored glass floral reserves. The wonderful elegantly scrolled ormolu cage leads upwards with four delicate arms branching out and each adorned with exceptional teardrop and kite shaped rock crystal pendants with additional colorful floral reserves leading to charming floral bobeches and candle cups. At the center is a striking dagger surrounded by additional beautiful rock crystal pendants leading to the top crown with lovely sprays also displaying fine rock crystal pendants all below the original foliate canopy and elegant chain. All original gilt throughout.
