Pair of Monumental Size Brass and Glass Art Deco Chandeliers Vintage, German
About the Item
Gorgeous pair of monumental size brass and glass Art Deco chandeliers. Each is in very good condition and requires three European E27 / 110 volt Edison bulbs, each bulb up to 100 watts. The glass is handmade, also the brass frame. The light is wired and in full working order, but as with all our lighting we would always suggest it is fitted and tested by a qualified electrician.
These pair of chandeliers hung in the Nuremberg main post office for over 80 years. In 2018 the building was demolished and we were able to save these chandeliers. These pair will make a beautiful addition to your entry hall.
The total high of each chandelier is approximate 87", the glass parts are approximate 27" high and the diameter is approximate 17 7/8".
They were cleaned and tested, but we left the brass in the original tarnished condition, because the chandeliers have so beautiful patina and we don't want to destroy it.
