Pendant Lamp attr. to Verner Panton, Switzerland - 1969
About the Item
H 120 cm W 65 cm D 65 cm
Material: ceiling plate aluminum, 198 perforated, chrome-plated brass balls on chrome-plated chains, 6 burners E 27.
Condition: good
Special features: with few signs of use. We are offering a highly unusual lighting object from a private Swiss collection, which is very reminiscent of the sensual designs by Verner Panton. After cleaning the parts and a new connection cable, it shines again in its former glory.
The 198 chrome-plated, perforated brass spheres form an amorphous cloud of spheres. Each sphere was elaborately welded together from 2 hemispheres and polished before chrome plating. They hang down regularly on long chains and form a cloud of light. A work of art by POP-ART, most probably a prototype by Verner Panton.
