Foucault's Light! Our pendulum lights bring a touch of history to your interior space. Their shape was inspired by those fantastic Foucault Pendulums you find in so many planetariums and museums. Handcrafted at Monterey GlassWorks in California for INNATE STUDIOS, each pendant is a unique, inverted teardrop-shaped blown glass object with a clear lens on the end. When lit, the entire pendulum glows with a soft light, while a brighter clear light is projected through the small lens downward to the surface below. Ideal for placement over a space which would like a brighter light focused downward while providing ambient lighting to the side, like over a countertop, table or reading chair. The pendulums are handmade by MGW glass artists. Their designs work well in modern and contemporary spaces alike, but are eclectic enough to be a statement piece in unique environments. The pendulum lights come as single or multi-drop fixtures. This particular item is the triple drop pendulum with three glass pendulums suspended from metal drops (brass) off an single 4.5" canopy. Canopies include complete wiring and hardware to affix to a standard ceiling mount junction box. Unless otherwise requested, the drop heights will be shipped at 18", 24" & 30" length. FIXTURE It is important to note that the pendulum is suspended via a brass tube fixture with custom mounting fixture rather than a standard typical cable. This tube can be sized to length. It will ship with the longest drop at a 30" length unless specified otherwise. Fixture includes mounting hardware, canopy, transformer and power cable with led socket and bulb. INSTALLATION Fixture includes mounting, wiring and driver suitable to install in traditional lighting junction box. We recommend a lighting professional or general contractor assist with installation. SIZE Each Pendulum Pendant is handmade and will vary, but approximately 9"H x 5"W SUSPENSION 3 drop - 4.25" mount, 6"-36" drop length.
