About the Item

Pressed glass pendant by Vitrika in the 1960s gorgeous Regency style pressed glass hanging light with brass and rosewood veneer. A stunning medium sized pendant comprised of eight square shaped clear pressed glass pieces separated by thin rosewood veneer pieces, and a thick clear pressed glass plate towards the bottom, all stabilized by a brass frame with a brass plate on top. Each square glass piece features a rose-like ornamentation, while the bottom plates features a large symmetric ornamented pattern - for optimal scattering of the emitted light. Suspended in a brass chain (to support the weight of this heavy lamp) with fine embossed pattern and an elegant brass canopy. The pendant fits four bulbs of max 40 watts each, and as such will provide more than enough illumination to light up a large dining table setting, while the pressed glass ensures a glare free experience. Or imagine it in a high ceiling hallway welcoming guests or even in a large kitchen. A gorgeous Regency style hanging lamp. Condition: Very good vintage condition with very few signs of usage and age. All glass pieces intact. Please see the photos! All original, but rewired with 2 m (6' 7") high end quality, black fabric cord, for safety and beauty. It comes with the original chain and canopy to support and stabilize the light, all measuring 2' 4.3" (72 cm), which can be shortened to meet your needs. Original canopy included. Fitted with safety clamps for easy connection to existing wiring. Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labelled and packed in protective bag. Light source: Four bulbs, Edison screw-fittings (E27/E26) Max 40 Watt each (For this specific light I recommend using small incandescent bulbs).
