Draped in velvet, discover her news velvety, milky and sensual pieces... Anchored and animated by the Mediterranean territory, Mickaël takes his source in this arid and wild nature which gives birth to his creations. Intrigued by the prickly pear which turns out to be a natural tool fighting against soil erosion, and participating in the preservation of the territory, Mickaël was inspired by it to design this lamp. Voluptuousness and sweetness are the key words to celebrate this plant. Modeled from the earth that the fig tree protects, the Pricly Pear wall light is created in terracotta by the hand of the designer. The opalines, like fleshy berries, radiate, and highlight this natural prowess. Mickaël Koska is a free thinker troubled and captivated by the reliefs of territories, their little-known resources and the pure lines that emerge from them. A surprising nature infusing it with the design of generous and playful shapes for the creation of singular objects. Self-taught, Mickaël approaches design instinctively and freely before perfecting his skills at the École Boulle in Paris. In 2013, he created his studio oscillating between Art and design in Marseille and continued his research in close collaboration with the know-how of French manufacturers. His mentors Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Stéphane Parmentier and Jaime Hayon led him to unite his desire for craftsmanship with his geometric shapes matched with pop colors. A dreamlike recipe with its roots in the eccentricity of the Memphis movement. This vibrant and limitless universe in the exploration of new techniques is part of a short circuit of creation thus preserving French know-how.
