Its remarkable, circular and layered shade is all hand carved out of one solid rock of alabaster. For this light they clearly picked the ideal rock for it comes with the most beautiful veins and patches. Ones that have formed in this mineral stone over a period of thousands of years, making it even more special. The stunning, layered Art Deco shade is beautifully flat at the bottom. The perfectly circular layers are an inch thick and that too is why this pure Art Deco fixture still is in such good condition. It has some natural hairlines, but otherwise it is as strong and structurally sound as the day it was made. So this not only is one of the most stylish Art Deco alabaster lights we have ever had the pleasure of offering, it also is in good condition Only the many decades 1 hairline has been professionally reinforced on the inside of this stunning Art Deco alabaster shade . It must have taken one highly skilled craftsman a lot of time to perfectly hand create this remarkable Art Deco design and for it to still be in such good condition after 100 years too is like an ode to his craftsmanship.
