Rare Neo-Grec Gas Chandelier with Vaseline Glass Shades

This is a beautiful three-arm Neo-Grec gas chandelier, circa 1870. The fixture is mixed metals of spelter and brass in excellent condition. It is attributed to Cornelius & Baker of Philadelphia. It has been newly wired to take 3 standard light bulbs. The 3 seven inch diameter shades are early matching Vaseline glass and give off a beautiful warm glow. These ornate hollow cast white metal lamps are very unique, rare and have a look all their own.
