Antique and one of a kind, seven-light hand carved wooden stylish sculptural chandelier. With early 20th century lighting being one of our specialities we always love finding pendants and chandeliers that we have never seen before and of which we know beforehand we will never find another one again either. This unique and all hand carved out of solid oak Berlin Art Deco light fixture with a Gothic look and feel is another one of those rare finds. With six hand carved woodpecker sculptures on all six rounded corners this clearly is a statement piece. And with this symbolic meaning attributed to woodpeckers it is clear to us what this chandelier stands for: 'as a power animal, a totem, and a spirit animal, the woodpecker stands for strength, opportunity, wisdom, kindness, courage, foresight, and protection. Never one to give up, the woodpecker finds the value in the most hopeless of things, and makes remarkable good come out of it'. Besides its uniqueness and deeper meaning this unique chandelier also is incredibly well carved all around and in superb condition. And with all 7 lights burning in the evenings this unique chandelier will easily light up a regular size dining or kitchen area. The bottom side (or opening) of the large shade has recently been completely rewoven and it too therefor is in excellent condition.
