About the Item
"The fishing rod" or "Flying Duke" lamp by designer Jan Hoogervorst is one of the most iconic lighting products from the Dutch lighting industry. Hoogervorst was a mid-century designer and designed the so-called 'Annual Collections' for ANVIA from the early 1950s to the early 1980s. Since 2015 we have started reproducing his most popular designs. This is reflected in an extraordinary combination: the design of the past with the technology of today. The ANVIA fishing rod lamp is based on the original design from the late 1950s / early 1960s with a very nice gimbal mechanism . The unique gimbal mechanism ensures that you can position the retro ceiling lamp freely. The lamp is easy to raise and lower and secure with the knurled nuts. The lampshade itself can also be adjusted to various positions. This means that the lamp has countless settings, which makes it very user-friendly."
