About the Item

This dense and luxury midcentury chandelier carries around 140 glass elements. Each element has small grooves that are giving the appearance when lit to be white. Because it's a diffraction white appearance it is not reducing the light output as a white glass chandelier will do. The glass elements are poured and pressed with the fracco technique. The same technique was used by Barovier and Toso for their deco chandeliers. There are 5 tiers plus one elements on the center. Inside 6 sockets for a great light output. What's unusual is the compactness of the glass and it's thickness. Barely showing the hardware. For a studio or a conversation point. A place where light has to be white, over a reading desk or a reading lounge chair. Bronze hardware a bronze band nicely covers the first row of glass hooks. Identifications, references: Unknown origin. Hardware reflects the typical triedri straight mounting. I could not find a reference to the glass elments. I will so list as in the style of Venini merely for research help. Hardware leads for a 90s production as this color was not so popular on hardware before that time. Evaluation assessment: Because of the uncertainity of attribution the value is assigned considering complexity of manufacturing and quality of both hardware and glass. In particular the thickness and the way glass is tightly packed together. The piece is evaluated by the beauty and not by the attribution which I believe is a bit generic. Chandelier will be complimentary wired over to buyer's code. UL certification by UL registered lab upon request. Measure listed is for the central body, carries 40 cms 16" of chain.
