In 2013, Christopher Boots was commissioned to create the 2014-5 Holiday Windows for Hermes on Madison Avenue, New York City.
Part of the response to the theme, METAMORPHOSIS, was to imagine an Elemental Transformation. An evolutionary transition of consciousness from the earliest stages of the ‘big bang’ through to an era of post-humanism and beyond, through a human perspective. Boots' unique PROMETHEUS III was encrusted with rare Smoky Quartz points, aligning with a deep drive towards the unique and beautiful.

Christopher Boots Studio:
Established 11-11-11, the Christopher Boots studio was founded on material and metaphysical exploration of quartz crystal, birthing a signature aesthetic. Exploring relationships between architecture, symbology and geometry found in nature offers a contemporary interpretation of pattern, structure and symmetry.
All works are handmade with love and care, with a diverse team of skilled artisans. Collaborations with glass blowers, coppersmiths, ceramicists, sculptors, and bronze casters, ensures a commitment to quality and underscores an investigative sensibility, giving birth to an aesthetic often unexpected.
We design, prototype and build in our Melbourne studios, honouring traditional elements of form, proportion and scale, marrying traditional and cutting edge materials with various techniques, creating future antiques designed for transforming architecture.
Collaborating with architects, interior designers and private clients fuels the dialogue between the worlds we all transverse.
