Stunning Louis XV Style 12-Light Bronze & Crystal Chandelier, France, Circa:1900
About the Item
Of all the Rococo style large chandeliers we've had over many years, we think this one is the best. It is a faithful reproduction of the style of chandelier that was popular in France in the mid-18th Century. The frame is expertly hand-cast gilt bronze with finely-cast bobeches and candle cups. The bronze center shaft is encased in hand-blown and -cut crystal that gives a beautiful sparkle to the fixture, especially at night when lit. The hanging crystal is beautiful hand-cut Baccarat style florets and rosettes with 4 spires interspersed with the 12 lights. The crystal on this fixture creates an amazing amount of sparkle in daylight but at night with the bulbs dimmed it is filled with color and drama, making it a real focal point in any room -- especially a grand foyer, dining room, living room, or large stairwell. Ceiling cap, hanging hardware, and 1 foot of chain included.
