About the Item
SCATTERED DISC OBJECTS (SDOBJS) and WAVE MURANO GLASS present TALAR, a series of lighting pieces in glass and metal, which redefines the artisanal tradition of glassblowing and the contemporary technique, inspired by Venice’s cultural contaminations: Talar is a journey to the East.
The overall structure is inspired by the slender architecture of the Middle East, resembling a colonnaded portico found in Persian pavilions, evoking the image of an evergreen garden.
Traditional Murano glass techniques, such as the "pullegoso" effect, were applied by the glass master Roberto Beltrami. The light source is a dimmable LED strip with 360 degrees of operability, controlled by a remote driver.
This collection embodies the dichotomy between nature and technology, craftsmanship and technique, tradition and modernity.

SCATTER-D STUDIO
SCATTERED DISC OBJECTS is Bahar Pourmoghadam and Marco Cattivelli. The studio, founded in 2020, deals with product design, furniture and architecture: they work is in between industrial fabrication and craftmanship, with great interest in present and past manufacturing processes. Every product is designed and manufactured in Italy, with the latest technologies and in collaboration with outstanding craftmen. The studio supplies manufacturing with the highest quality, providing aftersale support: all the items are fully repairable and built to last. However, spare parts are available.
The studio offers full customization on the products on catalogue, and is open to bespoke projects.
