About the Item
Fantastic Murano mouthblown amber glass lantern chandelier with iron frame. Giorgio Seguso probably designed this wonderful piece in Venice,Italy during the 1940s.
This unique Venetian Murano glass bubble cage pendant has an oriental style and a "puffy" look with a metal pattern. The amber color of the glass is fantastic and pairs amazingly with the black enameled metal cage. The natural bronzed patina on the iron cage and on the chain and the leaf-shaped canopy has not been polished as it adds a charm and historical value to this fantastic object.
The pendant is made in two pieces, the upper part is removable, to replace the light bulb. It is in amazing conditions with no chips, it has been rewired and tested, it uses a standard E27 light bulb, compatible with both US and EU standards.
A gorgeous and unique Venetian pendant to complement an entryway or a Mid-Century style project.

The Seguso family has been dedicated to the art of Murano glass in Venice since May 3, 1397. Seguso is one of the most esteemed, historical and respected glass manufacturers on the island, and among the largest glass furnaces in Murano, which has a few, homonymous furnaces. Glass made by the Seguso furnace can be found in over 75 museums worldwide, such as MOMA in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Today, Seguso is known for its high-end Venetian glass objects, lighting, accessories and custom installations. Seguso glass has been made for the Pope, Royalty and numerous luxury interiors throughout the world.
