About the Item
Elegant and timeless 1960s Italian Glass chandelier "Tronchi", attributed to Toni Zuccheri for the esteemed Murano house of Venini.
This gorgeous Tronchi variant features 22 individual cylindrical handmade glass elements suspended from a brass frame with 3 concentric circles. While cylindrical in form, the surface of the "cylinders" is texturized with small undulating bulbs and the cross section of the cylinder is also a curved organic form, rather than a perfect circle. The effect of this is that the individual cylinders optically merge to form a coherent unitary organic form of extraordinary beauty.
Ideal as a pendant chandelier, as well as a semi flush mount, this fixture brings style and tasteful opulence to any space.
Dimensions, including minimum and maximum height from the ceiling are illustrated on one of the attached photos.
Founded by Paolo Venini, the company's genius lay in collaborating with forward-thinking designers like Toni Zuccheri. Notable designers like Giò Ponti, Massimo Vignelli, and Tapio Wirkkala also contributed to Venini's legacy. This chandelier, comprising 40 parts, is a testament to the fusion of artistic vision and masterful craftsmanship.
